Homemade Apple Cider
With winter weather already upon us, an alternate satisfying beverage to hot chocolate is apple cider. This tasty concoction is a staple in our kitchen especially starting apple season to almost spring. It helps keeps colds and cough away.
Homemade Apple Cider
Blends of apples with pears and citrus fruits
Ingredients
- 8 pieces Sliced apples (using 2-3 kinds)
- 2 pieces Sliced pears
- 1 Large Pealed sliced orange
- 1 Piece Pealed lemon, quartered
- 1/2 Cup Cranberries
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup
- Crushed ginger
- 3 pieces Cinnamon stick
- Nutmeg
Instructions
- Add all ingredients in the IP liner. I use 8 quarts and you can adjust the ingredients.
- Add water enough to cover everything. I usually pour til the max line of the IP liner.
- Set IP to Pressure Cook for 30 minutes and NPR and leave for 2 hours.
- Using potato smasher, press all ingredients. Discard chunky items from the liquid.
- Strain to a pitcher and transfer to a bottled container. Serve warm or cold.
