Ramen Egg
The main ingredient that sparks me every time I eat ramen is the egg! It needs to be cooked perfectly as it accentuate the dish making it more satisfying to consume. It can be eaten as it is for snacking or just to satisfy a craving.
Ramen Egg
Ingredients
- 6 large Eggs
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce (preferred Kikkoman)
- 2 tbsp Mirin (preferred Kikkoman)
- 2 tbsp Honey or sugar
- 2 tbsp Chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp Crushed and minced garlic
Instructions
- Make the hard boiled eggs based on your preference. See below for a reference I use. I prefer to cook it in boiling water for 6 minutes and drop it in ice water to stop the cooking. Peel off the shells.
- Mix all other ingredients in a sauce pan on low heat until sugar dissolves well. Cool and transfer to a ziplock bag. Add the boiled eggs and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
