Beef Satay

This is a great twist that you can make with a good cut of beef, preferably the soft and tender cuts. It can be prepared in advance for a longer time to marinade and more tasteful meat, but soaking it for few minutes will also do it fine. Marinade is peanut sauce base with other Asian spices.

Beef Satay

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Beef prime rib(cubed into skewing pieces)

Marinade

  • 1/3 cup Soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Turmeric power
  • 1 tsp Coriander
  • Salt

Satay Sauce

  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp Peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp Fish sauce (optional, add salt as desired)
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Mix together marinade ingredients and beef cubes for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  • Thread the marinated beef cubes in a skewer, two to three pieces at a time.
  • Grill to cook or sear in a heavy pan for 15 minutes. Let the meat rest for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make the satay sauce by mixing all the ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally. Adjust the taste as desired.
  • Serve the grilled meat with the peanut sauce. Enjoy.
